One last blog.

Well, this is almost it. We have one more day down here and then we are on our way home! Mixed emotions there for everybody. We all miss all our friends and families but there are so many exciting things going on here!

Saturday it rained. ALL day long. so we attempted to do a VBS day dealeo but because of the rain we had to do it inside. and the room we moved into in the school has a tin roof. So the rain was so loud that everyone was yelling and the kids were all yelling and screaming. We got through some crafts and the story of Jonah (our translator started to tell the story of Noah...haha with the looks of the yard a boat maybe woulda been a good idea?) but when we started playing games the kids went crazy so we sent them all home with a balloon and a candy. After cleaning up and such we had nothing to do but have long naps and play cards. I'm not much of a card player, but these guys can be pretty entertaining! We also got to watch a movie with Jeff before bed so that was fun.

Sunday Will and I got up and made the team toast and eggs and leftover sausages for breakfast. SO good! then we wandered out into the water-filled streets and went to a resort on the other side of La Ceiba to pick up another girl (we also had a doctor and her husband join us on Saturday) and look around. it is a very nice place! When we got back we went for a nice long walk along the Caribbean. We like it a lot. That night we went to church and we are all blown away at how cute all the babies are! once again there was lots of singing and lots of clapping and lots of talking that we did not understand. But it was fun.

Today it was really hot again! We went and helped with the house we are building again this morning. Dee and I got to shovel lots of gravel and carry some cement blocks so we worked on our muscles lots. Then we just stood around and watched everyone work. I really enjoy being around there. The guy that we are building a house for kept Dee and I quite entertained with his crazy acting. I never really got anything out of it...but it made us laugh! Then us girls cleaned out a couple rooms in the school while the boys finished up the last picnic table they wanted us to build. Yay! Then we went and cooled off in the ocean for a little bit :) Tonight I think these guys just hung out here but I went with Jeff and the doctors to see some broken people. I loved it! This one guy cut his hand with a saw. It wasn't as bad as it sounds but it looked pretty cool. When we got back there was a soccer game going on so Jeff and I wandered over there and watched for a while. They are so good! It goes so fast its almost hard to watch!

But now it is time for me to go and get some sleep. Big last day tomorrow and then we leave the San Pedro airport at 9:25am on Wednesday. That is, if our plane leaves on time. Apparently they aren't so reliable here But hopefully we will make it back to Camrose that night. Have a good night everybody!

Janelle
